Background
Overview
HaTachana is a smart and intuitive mobile app designed to make exploring Tel Aviv easier, richer, and more personal. Whether you're a tourist or a local, the app helps you discover and book guided tours and unique experiences — all in just a few taps.
With a clean, user-friendly interface and real-time updates, the app ensures a smooth and engaging experience from registration to the final step of your tour.
The Problem
Although Tel Aviv offers a wide variety of urban tours and cultural experiences, there is currently no centralized, user-friendly platform that brings them all together in one place. Both locals and tourists often struggle to discover relevant tours, compare options, and complete bookings easily. At the same time, tour guides and experience organizers face challenges in reaching their target audience and managing their operations efficiently. This lack of organization and accessibility leads to missed opportunities and a less seamless, engaging experience for all users

Market Analysis
I conducted an in-depth review of digital platforms offering cultural experiences and guided tours, focusing on user behavior, interface patterns, and booking flows. My goal was to understand what creates a personal, intuitive, and accessible user experience.
The insights I gathered played a key role in shaping "HaTachana" into a platform that blends Tel Aviv’s unique character with modern digital expectations — making it easier for each user to explore the city in a meaningful and engaging way.
User Research
I conducted interviews and usability tests to understand how users interact with tour-booking apps. The research showed that users expect a fast, intuitive experience with minimal steps. They value clear navigation, personalized suggestions, and immediate feedback.
